What you'll be doing:
- Network planning, architecture, optimization and thought leadership
- Identify and recommend network hardware, systems management software and 3rd party applications to attain optimal service capability
- Developing, establishing and continuously improving best practices, reference architectures and proactive management practices
- Manage and lead large-scale projects delivering on budget and on schedule
- Maintain and keep applications operational 99.9% of the time
- Work within the guidelines of our change management process to conduct appropriate updates
- Document technical builds and configurations, service and administer account IDs and passwords to ensure business continuity
- Troubleshoot issues relating to network (LAN or WAN) software and hardware issues
- Share knowledge with peers to cultivate a team environment and maintain a high-level of professionalism
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent amount of relevant experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Architect or Sr. Network Engineer
- Demonstrated experience with Cisco, Extreme Networks/Avaya, and Citrix networking hardware
- Deep understanding of MPLS, VPN, DMVPN, and BGP
- Strong background in proactive monitoring and alerting
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team environment
- Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences
